To attract more customers into their stores, Gap is testing FeONIC‘s ‘Whispering Windows,’ which project sound and advertisements from a window display.
Brandchannel reports that the new window displays are on show at the brand’s flagship stores in London, Paris, Rome, and Milan, to highlight its current campaign.
They were produced in partnership with the London-based creative digital agency Signal Noise, and transform surfaces into discreet vibration speakers. Unlike traditional cone speakers, they produce an even spread of sound by vibrating the whole surface of the material. The music or promotional messages can be switched out as campaigns change.
Whispering Windows add unobtrusive audio to store windows, resulting in high quality immersive sound without aestheitc compromises. They can attract customers’ attention, increase traffic flow, and enhance people’s shopping experience by creating a subtle ambiance. To learn more about the technology, watch the animation below:
