For small and medium-sized businesses, non-profits and industry pundits, it can be a bit of a nightmare trying to get a handle on social media - especially the organisation of it.
Ian Cleary, a social media tools specialist, says, "Being organized with your social media efforts is essential because it can be so time consuming. It’s easy to spend many hours on social media but are you using that time effectively?"
Ian has some great tips aimed at those of us who don't have a media or communications department. It may take a little time to get it all set up, but I believe it's essential to leap frogging into this day and age.
Ian then proceeds to show us how to monitor and build relationships on Twitter (what about those influencers who have interacted with you but you haven't responded?), effectively using communities to market your content, finding great content (critical when you have blogs and social media accounts to keep active with relevant, interesting material), how to clean house and tidy up (like, what about those twitter followers who are following lots of people but aren't being followed?), how to drive relevant traffic to your site using social media - and more.
Hopefully you'll find Ian's tips helpful!
